Here you’ll find everything I’m preparing in my kitchen— from veggies, to leftovers and pasta. I eat simply, and I cook for one, but love cooking for others. And no matter what, I always pause to plate pretty.
Eating for love, a variety of flavor, and with a whole foods mindset is what helped me lose over 150 lbs on my own and keep it off for the last 25 years.
Most of my meals are often times the result of freestyle recipe free ingredient riffing and a trip to the market. Produce and protein are my passion, and I hope that you won’t simply come here for a recipe - but that you’ll read, cook and create a new story of your own.
I believe that there is power in a stocked pantry and freezer. There is power in cooking our own food.
From traditional Italian dishes, and meals of my childhood, to alternative sweets, vegan and vegetarian swaps— there’s something for everyone.

Simple Summer Pasta Salad

Daily cooking in the nursing facility, formerly known as my parents home, has become more of a daily chore and less an act of love and joy. I am truly sorry to share this with you, but it’s the honest truth. The cooking itself still brings me some level of peace— knowing we’re all eating nutritious food, sharing a meal and that we even have food on our table while others do not have that privilege. But in the midst of the daily to do’s and appointments— cooking has become another item to check off the list for the day, turning what I once saw as art into something rote and somewhat mechanical. It’s another responsibility.
